Mansfield

Characterised by low-set weatherboard houses with traditional Australian backyards, Mansfield is about 13km south-east of the CBD. The majority of the dwellings, constructed in the 1940s, 50s and 60s, are made of traditional weatherboard. Renovation of these older homes will inevitably increase the median sales price of property in the suburb.

The dedicated BCC Busway provides direct access to the CBD making the suburb a more convenient location for city workers to live in. The suburb is positioned between Newnham Road and Broadwater Road. Considering its close proximity to a variety of facilities,

Mansfield is proving popular with growing families. Excellent public transport and access to schools, shops and entertainment facilities are Mansfield’s key attractions. Educational facilities offered to local residents include the Mansfield Primary and Mansfield High School as well as the Adventist College (junior and senior), St Catherine’s Catholic Primary, and the Wishart Primary School in neighbouring Wishart. Residents are also close to Griffith University and Moreton and Mt Gravatt East TAFEs.

Local shops are complemented by major retailers located at Garden City Shopping Centre and Westfield Carindale, which are about 15 minutes away. Other local attractions include the Cresthaven Park and Yandina Picnic Ground, as well as numerous bike and walkways.
